Why work with Anita?

Anita J Patel started her career in financial services working with institutional clients in 1994, after earning a Bachelors in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1998, she received the professional designation of CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).

She initially worked with institutional clients in pension consulting.  From there she went to a global equity manager in New York where she worked in client services, performance measurement and as an analyst researching Emerging Markets stocks.  Subsequently, she did project work for a major investment bank and worked a spell at a broker dealer providing high end trading software to hedge fund traders.

In 2004, she took time off to help her mother deal with family matters after her father's untimely death.  It was then that she saw first hand how a strong, smart woman could very easily lose everything if she were unprepared going into these situations. 

This was a turning point, and in 2005 Anita began her career as a financial planner with a new mission - to empower women to understand and take control of their money before crisis strikes. 

After spending almost a decade working with institutional clients, she is now happy to be working and building relationships with individuals and their families as an Investment Adviser Representative with Cambridge Investment Research.  She currently resides in the South Bay.
